1940 Play Ball Complete Set Group Break

It’s like opening a pack of 1940 Play Ball cards, plus there is a guaranteed checklist! Someone will take home Joe Jackson, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, or other Hall of Famers. Some will take home nice commons to add to a set or use as trade bait. For more details on how Burl’s Sports vintage set breaks work, check out this link.

The 1940 Play Ball set is loaded with Hall of Fame members, from contemporary players like DiMaggio and Williams, to already retired greats like Speaker, Wagner, and Mathewson. The Shoeless Joe Jackson card is included in the high series, and it one of the most desirable cards in the set. The current market value of the PSA 5 Dimaggio alone is between $1000 and $1300, with the Shoeless coming in at $600-800, and the Ted bringing $400 to $450. In fact, even commons in the high series have a high book value of $70, and with over 50 Hall of Fame members in this set, there are plenty of hits to go around.
